about

The Celerity Collective

The Celerity Collective elevates queer voices and their active allies within the independent literary community. Our organization celebrates LGBTQ stories that reflect lived experiences, emphasizing those that include disability and neurodivergence.  We empower authors to take ownership over the publishing journey by providing educational materials, workshops, and social events that target writing, self-publishing, and marketing.

Our Mission Statement

Who We Are

We are a group of LGBTQ people and outspoken allies with a spectrum of neurodivergent identities and disabilities who celebrate writing and autonomy. To that end, our collective is on a mission to uplift and showcase the valuable stories from these communities, as well as the creatives who support them, as their authors pursue independent publishing.

What We do

Writing can be a lonely process, and publishing can be intimidating. Navigating this world as a minority makes doing both all the harder. We aim to provide education, support, and community to those who want to pursue their creative dreams by taking ownership of the writing and publishing process from beginning to end. You have the power, and our community will stand behind you.

Our Principles

  • LGBTQ, neurodivergent, and disabled authors have important stories to tell the world and deserve support that allows them access to publishing education and opportunities.

  • Independent publishing enables the preservation of creators' rights and transformative levels of communication, experimentation, and ownership.

  • Generative AI has no place in human creativity. We do not support ChatGPT or any other generative AI platforms. Our goal is to build up you as a writer in whatever ways we can, not to critique computers.
